Lovely hostel. My double room was big and the heater worked well. The bathrooms were clean and large. The hostel is very centrally located, but there is ample parking nearby (free on the weekends!). I had some trouble pulling up my backpacker group code at check-in, but the staff were very friendly and were able to apply the discount retroactively at check-out which was amazing. I'd definitely stay here again if I found myself back in Rotorua!

A wonderful stay at this hostel. Very large tidy kitchen, cubicle bathrooms/showers and extremely friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to satisfy all my needs! I had a package that arrived in reception after my departure date and they went out of their way, without hesitation, to ensure it got passed on to me at my next destination - very very grateful for their kindness and brilliant customer service! Everything was so perfect. Must go place. Rock solid backpackers going to be my fixed place to stay in future travels. Best place ever. Always very happy with my visit. Highly recommend everyone. So close to Skyline, pal nd save and all visiting places.

Rock Solid backpacker in Hinemoa Street Rotorua is one of the most amazing backpackers in Rotorua With multiple activities such as rock climbing whether your a beginner or expert level starting at $13.00 with everything incluided And a classic movie cinema on site as well as a cafe this is truely an amazing accommodation I have used this hostel multiple times the rooms and beds are totally comfortable and spacious. There is a well stocked kitchen very spacious and an enormous lounge upstairs to use there is a variety of very comfortable furniture which are totally awesome. There is a decent sized tv with apple netflix available etc for when you are bored which will never happen at the Rock Solid with so much to see and do in Rotorua. And onsite at the Rock Solid. When your in Rotorua wanting to have a blast call into Rock Solid first and start your adventure. This is a big tick from me. The place is great and the staff totally cool You definitely will enjoy your stay .

I messaged to say I had a bad cough and I asked if I could change to a smaller dorm so I would disturb less people- they gave me a room to myself with extra blankets and towels, left chocolate and a note for me on my bed to get well soon! Staff were so so nice!

The staff were so amazingly helpful and knowledgeable, especially dale, who not only helped me get a free shuttle service for one thing I was doing but also helped me considerably with other aspects of my trip for well after I would be leaving Rotorua
